In 1955 the BMW 503 was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt, as a two door coupé. The car was designed by Albrecht Graf von Goertz.
The 140 hp V8 propelled the rear wheels. With a cylinder capacity of 3.168 cc, the car could accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 13 seconds. The top speed was 190 km / h. The 503 was developed together with the 507 and 412 copies were built, from 1956 to 1959. Of these 139 were Cabriolets.
